Lee Tomlinson’s Our 2007 Trip
This year's European Racing trip exceeded everyone's expectations!
Five days in London, three days in Paris, highlighted by the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, and an exciting weekend of racing at Longchamp. Our visits to Windsor, Salisbury, and Goodwood racecourses in England were all enhanced by visits to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Salisbury Cathedral. It's safe to say that every member of our group came away with wonderful memories.

Lee Tomlinson has had a solid impact on the practice of handicapping. The information contained in his three pedigree publications, “Mudders & Turfers”, “Sprinter's & Stayers”, and “Tomlinson's Comprehensive Pedigree Guide” may now be found in every edition of the Daily Racing Form.
Lee ran his first overseas thoroughbred racing trip in 1998. Guests enjoyed a week of exciting racing in England and France, highlighted by the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp racecourse in Paris.
The following year, 1999, the trip was to England and Ireland, climaxed by the Irish Derby at The Curragh. And in 2004, Lee escorted a group on a four day weekend trip to Paris and the ARC.
In conjunction with Horse Racing Abroad, the 32 year old British based firm that specializes in thoroughbred racing trips, Lee has received high praise from many racegoers who enjoyed those overseas racing experiences.
“Lee's
trips are everything a horse racing adventure should be ... first class,
worry free, and above all, fascinating. Just show up and it's all taken care
of. New tracks, new towns, new customs, new food & drink,
and new friends who will be racing buddies for life. I was like a kid in
a candy store at each track, large or small, with so much to explore and
take in. The side trips to places like the Chantilly gallops, Sheikh Mohammed's
training facility at Newmarket, and Coolmore Stud were additional once-in-a-lifetime
highlights.”
T. Bjork, Illinois
“My wife and I went on several trips with this group and had a great
time.
The entire experience was first class all the way.”
H. Pack, New York
“During my two horseracing trips I enjoyed first class accommodations
at the hotels and racing enclosures in addition to the instant camaraderie
with my fellow travelers. I left the trips with wonderful memories of the
best vacation of my life, new lifelong friends, and a yearning to return
for another tour.”
S. Slagle, New Mexico
“Lee’s trips are adventures in horse racing….a fascinating
sample of settings big and small. The racing side trips were wonderfully
intriguing, the accommodations and transfers were comfortable and hassle
free. Best of all, fine friendships were launched.”
J. DeVasher, Tennessee
“I have been on the trips in ’98 and ’99, and both trips
were fantastic. The side trips were great, the racing venues were excellent,
and the planning and execution of everything were flawless. Things happened
when they were supposed to, and there was adequate spare time to see or do
anything not included in the itinerary. These trips would be hard to duplicate,
and I like the fact that all the work is done for me and all I have to do
is figure out which horse(s) I want to wager on.”
J. Sucevic, Florida
“The best thing about the trips…great camaraderie before, during,
and after the races. Bottom line is that there is no more enjoyable way to
experience racing across the pond than as part of a group of racing enthusiasts.
I really enjoyed the visit to the Chantilly training center and meeting with
Criquette Head.”
V. Ralph, New Jersey
